Active Time to get moving!

Active is a class where students will be active and moving. From exercise, to sports, fitness and fun, students will be moving. Participation is required. Students are not allowed to sit around in this class.

Your child will play a variety of board games with their peers in this fun, engaging class. Participation and good sportsmanship is required.

Our teachers have a passion for drama and musical theater. They love the students and getting to see them perform at their greatest level. Performing music gives students an opportunity to gain confidence and try new things. They will encourage students to reach for the sky as they learn fun songs and movements. Students will preform during the end of semester performance.

Flags

Flags is another way students can worship at Veritas. Students learn flag movements and perform a choreographed song together. The students learn team work and dedication in this class. If you like fast paced, fun, and loud then this is the class for you. Please know to perfect the motions you will need to be practicing throughout the week at home.�

Gymnastics & Movements

This isn't your average Health Class. Not only will this amazing teacher give our students some knowledge of our bodies and being health but also is going to incorporate movement. Very little table work will be involved in this active class.

Little Builders

STEM learning fun as your kiddo is challenged to build different car and construction models following step by step instructions using K’NEX parts. This class will support your child’s developing spatial awareness, fine motor and dexterity skills, as well as, prepare them for future STEM subjects.

MUSAIC

Krista Ahrends is a passionate music teacher with a desire to ignite a love of music in each student. Since 2012, she has taught MUSAIC classes at Veritas, which have been a favorite among students. Each semester has a unique theme, and classes provide a wide variety of exposure to musicians, composers, instruments, music history, performances, and the elements of music. Students also have the opportunity to participate in group vocal and instrumental performances, that have included recorders, bucket drums, glockenspiels, and rhythm instruments. MUSAIC classes are offered to students ages 5-10, and Marisa Alexander has begun teaching the Orange class as the program has grown beyond one teacher.

Come squish, mix and make fun creations in Play-doh! In this class, your child will get to unwind while focusing their imaginations to come up with creative play-doh masterpieces.

Science may be math, it may be sticky, it could include magnets and balances or messy experiments. You never know what these teachers of ours have in mind. We can promise it will always be fun. This class is offered as a STEM option for students 7-10 years old.

Scrambled States of America is a geography class where we will play the game and learn U.S. Geography in a fun and interactive way using games, activities, puzzles, and music.

Story Telling

Storytelling is a class where the students will learn how to "Show Me a Story", inspired by the book by the same name. We will use art, crafty ideas, and activities to spark and inspire your child's storytelling.

Think!

Think! is a creative and critical thinking project class. This class will bring out the builder in every student while sharpening the ability to problem solve and developing teamwork. Each week the students will receive building materials and project specifications without any instruction of HOW to do it. They will have to flex their brain muscles in order to complete the assigned constructions.

Worshipping Hands

Mrs. Moore could not be a better fit for this class. She will take the students through a worship song learning several American Sign Language words for the song, as well as additional worship signs that go with the song. You will not regret your time spent in this class. Students also perform the song they have learned during the end of semester performance.
