Primary Class Descriptions
Orange- 5 & 6 year olds- The orange kids will gather upstairs in the Worship Center. We will start the day with an assembly and then dismiss to classes. Parents are welcome to stay for the Assembly in the morning. Please sign in your student at the welcome center when you arrive each morning! Orange students will have a home room teacher who stays with them throughout the day as they go between classes. This makes the day run smoothly and helps kids transition from the preschool to the regular class schedule. Orange kiddos will have Art, PE, Music, Gymnastics, Bible, Library & Lunch every morning. There will be afternoon classes after lunch. The afternoon classes include: Puzzles & Games, Snack & Show, Recess, Faith & Science & Creative Class. Parents will pick up in the car rider drive through line in the back of the building

Some of the afternoon class choices include: Gymnastics, Musical Theater Adventures, Spanish, Worshipping Hands, Veritas Praise Poppers, Team Sports and Faith & Science. Parents will pick up in the car rider drive through line in the back of the building.

Arts & Crafts
Join us for a fun, hands-on art class where creativity comes to life! Students will explore a variety of seasonal, nature-inspired, and occasionally Bible-themed projects while experimenting with different art techniques and materials. This encouraging class is perfect for all skill levels and is designed to inspire creativity, build confidence, and help every child create something they're proud of.
Bible
The Bible is living and active and our map for today! Our Bible class theme this semester is “How to Walk with God”. We will be studying the scriptures to find heroes of the faith from the Old Testament through the New Testament who exemplified what this looked like and what lessons we can learn and apply to our lives today. This won’t be a dusty, boring Bible class… we will play games with prizes, read stories from scripture (maybe even act them out!) and have inspiring conversations about how to walk by faith!
Cheer
This cheer class will introduce cheer moves, jumps and beginning stunts.
This class will perform at the end of semester program.
Creative Play
This class is just for our 5 & 6 year old students.
They will do various art projects and play with Play-Doh.
Dance
We will focus on warm ups and ballet/jazz/various styles of technique. We’ll also learn expected dance class setting behavior and practice weekly. Please no overly chunky shoes or loafers that slip off easily for this class. We will perform a dance at the end of the semester.
Faith & Science
This class explores the world of science, through experiments, to learn about how our amazing Creator designed the world.
Flags
Flags is a great way students can worship at Veritas. Students learn flag movements and perform a choreographed song together. The students learn team work and dedication in this class. If you like fast paced, fun, and loud then this is the class for you. Please know, to perfect the motions you will need to be practicing throughout the week at home.
To be allowed to be in this class students must follow directions and not mess around during class.
Flags requires either renting or purchasing flags if you do not already have some.
Gymnastics
This class will teach basic gymnastic skills like handstands, cartwheels, bridges and other skills as the kids progress. It will also help kids work on flexibility and strengthening. This is a very active, fun class. Students need to be prepared to participate and be good listeners for this class to be enjoyable and safe for everyone.
Improv
Improv offers a fun and funny way to build confidence, quick thinking,
and teamwork, using fast-paced and, some times, ridiculous games.
Library
Students will learn to navigate the Library and use it's resources. For example, how to choose a book, and learning the Dewey Decimal System. The class will be able to check out a new book each week.
Musical Theater Adventures
Lights, camera... action! Does your child love to perform, use their imagination, or simply have fun being expressive? In this exciting, Christ-centered musical theater class, students will step into the world of drama through creative movement, acting, storytelling, and performances set to uplifting music
Each week, children will play engaging theater games, learn stage skills, develop memorable characters, and work together to bring stories to life. Along the way, they'll build confidence, creativity, teamwork, and public speaking skills while discovering how God can use their unique talents to encourage others and bring Him glory. Whether your child is a natural performer or just beginning to come out of their shell, they'll be welcomed, encouraged, and celebrated in a fun, faith-filled environment where every child has a chance to shine!
Music
A combination of theory and appreciation, students will learn the basics of what makes good music, the building blocks of composition, and a little bit of musical history. All of these concepts will come together in an exciting project to be performed at the end of our semester.
PE
This class emphasizes sports-related skills, movement patterns, games, and fitness activities.
Designed to help students develop a positive attitude towards physical activity.
Puzzles & Games
This class is only for 5 & 6 year olds. Students will work on putting together puzzles
and playing age appropriate games in this class.
Science
Through a unique blend of live-action field trips, expert interviews, and wildly imaginative DIY paper crafts, learners will shift from passive viewers to active scientific investigators.
This course is designed to foster curiosity, critical thinking,
and the foundational principles of physics, biology, and environmental science.
Show & Snack
This class is only for 5 & 6 year olds. This will be a fun class for the students to have some down time during the day and watch a fun Veggie Tales show or a similar show that will teach Bible stories.
They will also have snack in this class. Please send a snack with your student each week.
Spanish
Hola! Vamonos! Come explore the elementary basics of Spanish.
We will focus on simple Spanish words for the months of the year, numbers, colors and more.
We will also memorize a Bible verse and song in spanish.
Team Sports
Students will learn the rules of and play a variety of popular sports including basketball,
volleyball, flag football, handball, kickball, and soccer.
Veritas Praise Poppers
Dancing with purpose, worshiping with joy, and glorifying God with every step
Worshiping Hands
Teacher will take the students through a worship song learning several American Sign Language words for the song, as well as additional worship signs that go with the song. Students also perform the song they have learned during the end of semester performance.
